FAQs


May items stay in the dressers, desks, file cabinets, etc.?

Any breakable items, valuables, firearms or not to pack items should be removed from the piece. Clothing and non-breakable items may be left in dressers. Desks and file cabinets should be emptied for the safety of the piece and of the crew.


Are you licensed and insured?

Yes and yes! We are licensed to operate under our MA DTE #6771 and ICC #87113. We carry complete insurance coverage on our equipment, facility and our crews. Coverage for your items is not insurance. Please see valuation coverage.


Why are the estimates I received so different?

An inexperienced estimator, comparing phone estimates to visual estimates, “Low Balling” – a practice of purposely misleading the customer, or giving different information to each estimator. These are examples of the most common factors that may produce different estimates.


Do use temporary or work-a-day help?

We use our own regular crews, which are trained by us. The only time we use any temporary labor is on large commercial/office moves or when no other alternative exists.


What is done in the event of bad weather?

Several options exist in the event of inclement weather.

  1. Reschedule your date(s) if you have the flexibility.
  2. Our crew can lay down a number of items to protect your floors. Some of these items are: masonite, plastic sheets and cardboard boxes.
  3. Add additional labor to the job keeping one crew outside and one crew inside at your origin and destination addresses. This option would result in additional charges if requested.

What payment method is accepted?

Payments for local and intrastate moving must be made in the form of cash, certified check or money order. Payments for interstate and international moving must be in the form of certified check, money order or credit card. Billing may be arranged for companies only


Do you sell packing materials?

Yes! See Packing Materials.


How long do I have to report a claim?

15 days intrastate. 9 months interstate.


Can we ride in the truck?

Insurance reasons do not allow us to transport people other than our crew.
